I am happily married since 2005 to my beloved wife Marina. We have a daughter Camilla, who was just born in May 2007. Our pictures together can be seen at our Picasa site
My main hobby during last years is photography, using digital SLR camera. I started photography while in beginner school, using Russian Smena and Zenit cameras, and using bathroom as a photo lab. For the last two years I am using Canon D30, constantly using Adobe Photoshop on a professional level, and lately started using Capture One software.
I mainly shoot landscapes, nature and urban sets. You can see my portfolio on the Livejournal site. My journalist works about 2003s hurricane Isabel in North Carolina were used by many local publications.

In 1991 I changed my school from standard high-school to a special school-gymnasium number 67 (currently 1567) - one of the first gymnasiums in Moscow and Russia. It was founded in 1989 by Eugenie Topaler together with principals of two other Moscow schools. I studied there for two years under the guidance of Distinguished teacher of Russian Federation Alexander Andreevich Chebotarev.
After that I got into Special Center for Science Education of Moscow State University (FMSH #18), in a class specializing in information technologies. I studied there for two years getting my high-school diploma. During that time I took additional classes in 3D graphics and programming, and participated in student exchange programs with Cambridge, England and Belgrade, Serbia.
In 1995 passed exams to both Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT ) and physics faculty of Moscow State University. I continued my education at faculty of radio technology and cybernetics of MIPT . On the third year I chose Institute of Control Sciences as my base institute and wrote a diploma on "representation of delivery routes in a three dimensional database", getting bachelor of computer sciences degree.
In 1999 I started working in the United States where I continued my education, learning all the technologies I describe on this web site myself.
In 1997 I was hired as a beginner system administrator to Institute of System Analyses of Russian Academy of Sciences. They were starting the deployment of computer network in the institute and two neighboring institutes, which was funded by Soros fund. As part of this deployment, two kilometers of high-speed fiber optics was laid as a branch of FreeNet in the Institute of Organic Chemistry of RAS. After that, the Sun Microsystems, SMC and Cisco equipment was installed. Using this equipment we built the network for the whole institution (15 stories, more than hundred workstations). Two people, myself included, performed network administration, which still provides mainly internet access services, e-mail, web, web proxy, firewall, file storage and user support and education. A group of teachers (which included me) developed and taught "UNIX Administration" and "Using Internet for beginners" courses.
Currently working in USA, first in Environmental Network International as a system administrator. However, as time went by my job title changed, and I started programming using ASP and MS SQL and administer Microsoft SQL Server. Later on I started developing application architecture as a senior programmer, and with expansion of the company, which was renamed to Broad Street Software Group, I became the CTO.
In the last two years I have been doing alot of travel, setting up offshoring operations in Moscow and Minsk for our company. We have become a truly global and very efficient software developer through this work.
